The HSC Masterclasses provide an opportunity for skill-building for students and professional learning for teachers.
Workshops are delivered by Artists-in-Residence, HSC Markers and members of the SCS Arts Team.
Content covers skills and techniques essential to core and elective components of the HSC syllabus.

VISUAL ARTS | HSC Body of Work | School Holidays | Monday 29 September | 9am – 11am | Southern Cross Catholic College Burwood

This workshop is designed to equip HSC Visual Arts students with clear strategies for developing a compelling Body of Work. With a focus on idea development and artistic decision-making, students will gain insights into what distinguishes a Band 6 submission. The session will be led by experienced HSC teachers and Sydney Catholic Schools’ Artist in Residence, Joshua McPherson.

DRAMA | HSC Written Exam | School Holidays | Monday 29 September | 1pm – 3pm | ZOOM

Learn the skills for writing a Drama essay incorporating workshop experiences through experiential and evocative writing. Suitable for Stage 5 and 6 Drama students.

DANCE | HSC Written Exam | School Holidays | Tuesday 30 September | 9am – 11am | ZOOM

MUSIC | HSC Aural Exam | School Holidays | Wednesday 1 October | 9am – 10:30am | ZOOM

This workshop will equip students with skills and strategies to effectively respond to a range of aural questions.

There is no cost for Sydney Catholic Schools’ and other Catholic Diocese teachers and students to participate in these programs.

All session tickets are $20 for DOE and Independent teachers and students.
