The Murrawadeen Goodjarga Program provides opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to strengthen their connection to culture through storytelling, dance, drama, music and the visual arts.
2025 Goodjarga Highlights
SCS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students will feature alongside students from the Australian Catholic University in a collaborative NAIDOC Week Video Project
Students from Corpus Christi College Maroubra will work with choreographer Jodie Choolburra-Welsh for a performance at the ACU International Community Engagement Conference and at the SCS Eisteddfod Showcase at the Seymour Centre, both in July.
SCS Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students are invited to participate in Cultural Workshops facilitated by Nyumbar Aboriginal Education in Term 3 in various school venues across the Archdiocese. Please contact your Aboriginal support teachers for more details.
The Murrawadeen Goodjarga program nurtures the creative skills of young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students and develops whole school community understanding of and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and language.
