The Arts team can assist in the development of all creative projects in your school. Whatever your needs, we can tailor-make support for short and long term school-based projects, incursion days, curriculum planning and implementation, initiatives that integrate the arts with the specific needs of diverse learners and more.
The Arts Team will continue their focus on supporting schools in the roll-out of the new K-6 Creative Arts and Secondary Dance, Drama and Music Syllabi throughout 2025. ViVA! – Stage 6 Classes
Since its inception in 2017, the Sydney Catholic Schools ViVA! Performing Arts Program, hosted at Southern Cross Catholic College has grown exponentially.
The ViVA! Program is currently offered across two campuses at Southern Cross Catholic College, Burwood and Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Kensington (dance only).
ViVA! provides all secondary school students in the Sydney Archdiocese with a part-time option of attending the college in order to study HSC Dance, Drama, Music 1, Music 2 and Music Extension, whilst maintaining their enrolment at their current school.
ViVA! is delivered in weekly block face-to-face classes, with online learning modules, in a blended delivery model that allows students to explore their passion and extend their skills, whilst remaining at their current school.
Sydney Catholic Schools is excited to announce that ViVA! offers Dance XLR8 – an accelerated pathway for exceptional Year 10 students to complete the HSC a year early. They will complete the program across Years 10 – 11, following a comprehensive selection process.
