Gary Cheng is a Wojarri, Yamatji and Wiradjuri cultural man. He is currently working as a freelance dancer with Mark Meritt/Steve Taylor, Dinawans Connection and Stuart McMinn, Gawura Cultural Immersions.
Gary has been involved in many cultural opportunities that strengthen all aspects of his life. After graduating from school, Gary undertook studies at NAISDA Dance College completing Dance Practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Gary has danced nationally and internationally including at Dance Rites at the Sydney Opera House with Dinawans Connection, and in the Honolulu Festival in Hawaii with Gawura Cultural Immersions.
Gary is dedicated to understanding, learning and sharing the diverse culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. He focuses on sharing culture and stories through movement while supporting and uplifting young people.
