With her experience and versatility in the performance of multiple vocal genres, Deborah Rogers has become a sought after stage and concert presence nationally and internationally. 

Originally from Brisbane, Deborah graduated with Honours in Music from the University of Southern Queensland in 2005, as a recipient of the Special Achievement in Music Award, going on to complete postgraduate studies in performance at the WA Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). In 2009, Deborah performed as one of six national finalists in the Opera Foundation Lady Fairfax New York Scholarship and in 2011, was a recipient of the Australian Voice Association’s Student Encouragement Award for her commitment and passion to vocal study, performance and teaching. 

Deborah has performed with both state and national opera companies in Australia including Opera Australia, West Australian Opera and in 2011-2012, was a Young Artist with Opera Queensland making her mainstage debut as Flora in La Traviata and has continued to appear in roles with the company since. In 2018, she performed as a guest artist alongside Michael Buble and Naturally 7. Deborah has also performed in exclusive events and concerts on stages all over the world with Australian group The 7 Sopranos, making her ABC recording debut with the group and is featured on both of The 7 Sopranos albums. Upon a relocation to New Zealand in 2017, Deborah performed as a mainstage and concert soloist with the New Zealand Opera as an appointed Freemason Opera Artist. 

Deborah’s passion for performing is dualled with her passion for music, theatre and vocal education. She has taught at both University and High School level, facilitated Masterclasses and group classes in voice and performance training as well as coached pre-professional artists in role development. In 2014, she spent 3 months in New York vocal training and coaching singers at the Frenchwoods Festival of Performing Arts.
