Registration for the 2026 Songwriting program is now OPEN

Parents/Carers & Students can click the button below to register via the SCS Award Force Artists’ Evolution audition platform.

The 2026 Songwriting program will take place in the upcoming school holidays from Wed 30 Sept – Fri 2 Oct at Southern Cross Catholic College Burwood 9am – 4pm daily.

As part of the registration process, students are required to submit an example of their work that best represents their songwriting skills. Student work samples may include a video of themselves performing an original song or playing their instrument, or a self-devised set of lyrics for eg.

The Arts Team will consider student skills when selecting participants for inclusion in the program.

The cost to participate in the 2026 Songwriting Program is $75

The Songwriting program is designed for students from Year 10 – Year 12 who are serious about pursuing a career in the music industry and are ready to take their talents to the next level. At the conclusion of the program students will have created, recorded and produced a ‘radio-ready’ song.

We are seeking committed students who are passionate about songwriting and eager to develop their skills in a professional and collaborative environment.

Ideal participants are:

Creative and Collaborative students who enjoy working with others and can contribute their unique ideas to group projects.

Experienced in Songwriting and looking to refine their craft. Experience with digital workstations such as Garageband or Logic is required.

Musically Skilled and able to play an instrument or sing at a level where they feel comfortable being recorded

Committed to Growth and keen to engage in an intense program to enhance songwriting and artistry skills
