Norma Tahhan is an acclaimed Sydney based artist, Visual Arts Educator and Art Therapist who has  gained an extensive knowledge of the Visual Arts through various universities and colleges within  Australia. She has undertaken many travels both nationally and abroad for artistic research and this is  reflected in her many artworks. Norma has held numerous exhibitions, including sell out Solo  Exhibitions at The Seymour Theatre Centre, The Star, The New England Regional Art Museum, Customs  House and The Powerhouse Museum. Her work is currently represented by Singulart Paris – Europe’s largest online Gallery as a personally invited Australian artist. Norma’s works are held in numerous  private and corporate collections throughout Australia, USA, Europe, Lebanon and New Zealand. Her works have been featured in many newspapers and publications including The Sydney Morning  Herald, Daily Telegraph, The Catholic Weekly, Black & White Magazine and on television. Norma’s  work was recently featured in the set of the Channel 9 Mini Series “Bite Club” Her works have also  been selected and featured at the Powerhouse Museum, The National Maritime Museum and the  Australian Centre of Photography Sydney. Norma has been the finalist and award winner in numerous  Art Prizes and has recently won the Drummoyne Art Prize 2017 and 2019. Norma has also been an  artist in residence in a number of schools and within the corporate sector and judged numerous art  prizes which recently include the Burwood Art Prize and the HSC Strathfield Visual Arts Prize.  

Apart from Norma’s highly acclaimed professional artistic career, Norma is also a passionate Visual Arts educator. Norma has been an educator in Visual Arts in numerous schools and colleges  throughout Sydney, Australia. Norma has held numerous leadership roles and has been a Director of Creative Arts in two Sydney schools. Norma has over 20 years’  experience as an Art Educator and holds a Masters of Visual Arts Education, Bachelor in Art  Education, Graduate Diploma in Professional Art Studies and Certificate of Accreditation for Senior  Leadership in a Catholic School CATEGORY E. Norma is an extremely experienced in the current K-12  Visual Arts Curriculum, having written various programs and successfully tutored and mentored  students from Kindergarten to HSC Visual Arts. HSC Students who have worked under Norma’s tuition  have been selected for Art Express – a selection of the best works for HSC. Norma is also an Art  Therapist and can assist students with Diverse Learning Needs achieve success and fulfilment through Visuals Arts.
