Greg Carger is an international performer and music manager, trumpeter, arranger, composer and educator. Greg has worked for many years as an artist and music manager in the cruise ship industry. He is back in Sydney, leading bands and performances as well as being an integral member of the Sydney Catholic Schools Amadeus Instrumental Program.

SPOTLIGHT ON: Meet the Talent featuring Nick Stathopoulos

Nick Stathopoulos has been a finalist in this year’s Archibald Prize  – and many times previously. His 2016 portrait ‘Deng’ of refugee lawyer Deng Adut was awarded the Archibald Prize’s People’s Choice Award. He has also been a two-time finalist in the Doug Moran Portrait Prize. He has been shortlisted in the renowned BP Portrait Award in London and his portrait was also reproduced on the cover of The Times. His art career spans many fields including illustration, book cover design, computer game design, animation, screenwriting, film making and sculpture and this is all on top of an arts/law degree. He has won several awards for his illustration work but has found a real passion in hyper realist painting of portraits and still life..

SPOTLIGHT ON: Meet the Talent featuring Virginia Ferris

Virginia Ferris is a versatile artistic director, choreographer, event manager, specialist tutor and adjudicator and has created and managed hundreds of events in Australia and Internationally. She has had over 25 years experience and she is able to work with large diverse groups.
She has choreographed and performed with Frank Sinatra, Casey Donovan, Marcia Hines, Kylie Minogue, Jimmy Somerville, Marilyn Jones, Kath and Kim and Courtney Act to name just a few.

SPOTLIGHT ON: Meet the Talent featuring Marc Malouf

Marc Malouf is one of Australia’s great guitarists and a star of the world music stage. As well as being a well seasoned international session guitarist and vocalist, he is also an award-winning music producer, accomplished songwriter, musical director and original artist.
Marc’s eclectic, diverse and tasteful approach to songwriting and production has forged a strong future in the music industry. Marc has been a great friend of CASPA and has led various band projects and recording opportunities for Sydney Catholic Schools students over the past years. Welcome to the Spotlight series Marc!

SPOTLIGHT ON: Meet the Talent featuring Neale Whittaker

Neale has spent the last 15 years developing his own unique brand of movement, fusing contemporary, commercial and street style techniques. This unique style led him to choreograph and perform on hit TV programs like SYTYCD, Dancing With the Stars, Australia’s Got Talent, ABC3’s Dance Academy and The ARIA’s. Neale has been a resident choreographer for SCS CaSPA Programs including the 2020 Let’s Dance and the 2021 Student Dance Ensemble

Pete Malicki is a versatile writer and a maverick of the arts and entertainment industries. As a writer, he’s had over 1,100 productions of his plays in 20 countries, won 25 awards in film and theatre. His speciality is writing theatrical monologues with textured characters and engaging stories, and are among the most popular and successful monologues in the world with 10 publications available. Pete is also a heavyweight producer and creative industries business expert known for running significant projects like Short+Sweet Sydney, the World Monologue Games – a global acting event featuring 1000’s of participants from over 80 countries, Arts Business Academy and the Creative Industries Future Leaders Incubator.

SPOTLIGHT ON: Meet the Talent featuring Wayne Tunks
Wayne Tunks is a writer, director, actor, producer and drama coach with experience over 20 years. His plays have been performed all over Australia. They include, “The Subtle Art of Flirting”, “We’ll Always Have Wagga”, “The Bridesmaid Must Die!”, “The Girlie Show”, “Silvertop Ash”, “Flame Trees” and “Go West”. His critically acclaimed web series, “After Nightfall”, has won awards all over the world and his current short film, “Overcaterers Anonymous”, is also winning international acclaim and awards. He is a former story liner on TV’s “Neighbours”, and has directed several number one country music videos. He is the breakfast host on radio station, My88FM, and his podcast, “You, Me, the 80s and the 90s” has tens of thousands of downloads. He has just released his debut novel, “Normal or Nothing Like It”. Wayne has been a drama coach for many years, teaching in both Sydney and Melbourne.

SPOTLIGHT ON: Meet the Talent featuring Bev Kennedy
Bev Kennedy is one of Australia’s leading musical directors and accompanists, having worked on over 30 professional productions over a number of years. These include Billy Elliot, We Will Rock You, The Lion King, Wicked, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Heathers just to name a few! She was also nominated for a Green Room Award for her work as Musical Director on Gutenberg the Musical and has been Musical Director for the last four years on Light the Night charity concert raising money for leukemia research and for the Luminale Festival at the Sydney Opera House.
In 2008, Bev was the official pianist at the World Youth Day Papal Welcome which was televised worldwide. Bev has accompanied international artists such as Joan Rivers and Grammy award winners Liz Callaway, Jose Carreras, and continues to play for award winning artists such as Tina Arena and Anthony Warlow.
She is also a consultant and adjudicator for the Sydney Eisteddfod and a teacher at the Actor’s Centre and the Talent Development Program as well as the talent coordinator for Sydney’s premiere Cabaret venue Claire’s Kitchen.

SPOTLIGHT ON: Meet the Talent featuring Danielle McKinnon

Danielle McKinnon has been practising and teaching physical theatre, drama and circus skills for over 20 years. She is a qualified secondary drama teacher with a Bachelor of International Creative Arts and she is a mother to two crazy boys.

An avid acro balancer and hula hooper, Danielle ran away to a UK circus in 2003 and has been living a circus ever since.

SPOTLIGHT ON: Meet the Talent featuring Sally Dashwood

Sally Dashwood is a performer, choreographer and director of Australia’s premiere female tap dance company Girls On Tap.
Sally has worked as Assistant Director of La Boheme, and choreographed Packemin’s Legally Blonde, was Assistant Director on Opera Australia’s production of Two Weddings One Bride, and Assistant Choreographer and Dance Captain on Carmen on Sydney Harbour.
Her other credits include: Untapped! with Raw Dance, Fame the Musical, Mack and Mabel, Carmen, OzPanto’s Snow White and Aladdin, Happy Feet 2 and assistant to Creative Directors Squared Division on The X Factor. Sally has danced for artists including; Kylie Minogue, Olivia Newtown-John, Delta Goodrem, Meghan Trainor, Redfoo and Samantha Jade.
