With a professional career spanning over 15 years, Andrea is an experienced and skilled arts and events manager. She has worked in all theatrical genres of live performance, as well as corporate and government events. A graduate of the University of Southern Queensland, Andrea freelanced for eight years as a stage, company and production manager, specializing in opera and musical theatre for some of the largest and leading companies in Australia, including Opera Australia and Victorian Opera. In 2016 she was offered the role of stage manager at Dubai Opera in the UAE, an exciting opportunity to launch a new opera house, and managed over 300 events a year including live performances, gala functions, banquets, festivals, and a wide range of corporate events. After returning home in 2020, Andrea worked primarily with Victorian Opera, managing a large portion of the 2021 season shows and supervising their ongoing COVID related theatrical intricacies.
Andrea enjoys and has significant experience working with children and young people in professional shows, choirs, youth orchestras and dance concerts, as well as graduation and awards ceremonies, in Australia and overseas. She enjoys working for Sydney Catholic Schools and the opportunity to bring professional theatre and events experience to the school community. Andrea has a passion for creating and supporting new work and theatrical ideas and looks forward to implementing this enthusiasm into her new role.
