SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTS: The making of School of Rock: Massed choir Ensemble featuring Deborah Rogers

With her experience and versatility in the performance of multiple vocal genres, mezzo-soprano Deborah Rogers has become a sought after stage and concert presence nationally and internationally. Originally from Brisbane, Deborah holds post-graduate degrees in Music from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). She is a soloist with opera companies around Australia and New Zealand and a music theatre and jazz performer with specialist acts. She has been a guest artist alongside Michael Bublé and has performed in exclusive events and concerts on stages all over the world as well as an ABC recording artist with the group The 7 Sopranos album.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTS: The making of School of Rock: Massed dance ensemble featuring Brad Carter

Brad is a graduate of Brent Street – Diploma of Musical Theatre & Sydney Dance Company Pre-Professional Year – Diploma of Contemporary Dance. He also is a qualified Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer.

Brad is a Musical Theatre, Contemporary and Improvisation Artist and Teacher. He brings a mix bag of experiences to his teaching and likes to blend his experiences together so that students can learn a variety of skills from his classes.

In 2018 Brad was cast in the Musical ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’ on board Norwegian Cruise lines and has returned to this show many times since his first casting.

Brad has a passion for teaching and dance education. He teaches open classes at Sydney Dance Company and also works as a Teaching Artist where he travels alongside the company and delivers creative contemporary dance workshops to primary and high school students all over Australia.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTS: The making of School of Rock: Introducing Dewy Finn played by Daniel Raso

Daniel trained at The McDonald College, and has appeared in smash hit musicals, Matilda, American Psycho, Grease, High School Musical and Kiss Me Kate. His biggest credit to date, has been playing the role of Frankie Valli in Jersey Boys.

He’s also appeared in tv shows such as Puberty Blues, and A Place To Call Home, as well as singing with Tim Minchin for the opening of the 2020 BAAFTAs.

SPOTLIGHT ON THE ARTS: The making of School of Rock: Welcome to the stage No Vacancy

Episode 4 introduces No Vacancy, Dewey’s band  playing the roles of Theo, Doug, Bob and Snake in Sydney Catholic School’s Production of School of Rock the Musical.

Episode 5 introduces the lead student cast playing the roles of Summer, Tomika, Katie, Marcy, Shonelle, Sophie, Maddison, Zack, Lawrence, Freddy, Billy, James and Mason in Sydney Catholic School’s Production of School of Rock the Musical.
